We all want to feel good about the companies we do business with, right? As a mom with a crazy schedule running kids all over town, volunteering, baking for the fundraiser bake sale that is, eeekk, tomorrow, and even working full or part-time, who couldn’t use a little help every now and then with the housework? Buckets & Bows Maid Service is a house cleaning service that started right here in Flower Mound. Buckets & Bows services Flower Mound, Highland Village, and surrounding areas and knows how to give back to the community in a big way (more on that in a bit). They have been serving our community for over 27 years providing screened and qualified house keepers so you can feel safe knowing your house is being handled by professionals. They offer weekly, bi-weekly and monthly services, along with move-in or move-out cleanings and special occasions as well.
Buckets & Bow Maid Service is also taking your health very seriously. They continuously update and train their employees sanitary cleaning techniques. They are taking special precautions to ensure the germs that may be present in one home are not spread to another. Some of these steps include: using the client’s cleaning supplies, mops, vacuums, etc. so contaminants are not spread from one house to another. Each maid mops the floors and sanitizes the door knob on the way out of the house and thoroughly sanitizes in between house cleanings.
Debbie decided at that moment that no woman undergoing cancer treatment would be turned away from her business. “I realized her medical circumstances were affecting her financially and practically and my company could have cleaned for her either free, or at cost, to help her out!” She announced the new policy to her employees at the next staff meeting and has never looked back. In 2006, she shared her story at a national maid service convention, explaining how these women were the ones that need their services the most. She was so overwhelmed by the response she received from other maid services and their willingness to jump onboard, that she went home and registered Cleaning For a Reason as a non-profit organization. As soon as the word was out, maid services began signing up to participate and offer cleaning services to cancer patients at no charge. Since 2006, through the Cleaning For a Reason Foundation, over 2,000 women have been helped with over 525 partner maid services. Buckets and Bows Maid Service is making a difference in the lives of women everyday. Publisher of FlowerMoundFamily.com, Jill Noble, says, “It is very important to us to stand behind quality companies that make outstanding contributions to our community, while also providing a valuable service to our readers. Buckets & Bows Maid Service certainly passes that with flying colors. My mother is a breast cancer survivor, so we can truly appreciate the public service they are doing for these women.” So go ahead and treat yourself to a maid service…you deserve it! So what sets Buckets & Bows Maid Service apart from all of the other house cleaning services out there? Buckets & Bows Owner, Debbie Sardone says, “We send only 1 maid in per home, rather than a 3-4 person team like some of the other companies. Our clients appreciate the rapport and reliability with having the same person clean their home each week. They know your home, know what you like and take time and care with each visit. Our employee turnover is extremely low for our industry. Our employess stay with us for several years, rather than just months.” She also adds, “The cleaning industry is a relatively easy and inexpensive business to start, so many maid services are popping up everywhere. When you are making your decision on a cleaning service, be sure to pick a company that professionally trains each and every one of their employees.”
Debbie is also the founder of the non-profit foundation Cleaning For a Reason. Cleaning For a Reason provides free, professional house cleaning services for women undergoing treatment, or recovery, from any kind of cancer. 17 years ago, Debbie took a phone call from a prospective client. After giving her a price quote, the woman said, “I won’t be able to afford that right now. I’m undergoing cancer treatments.” She hung up the phone.
