Easy Crockpot Apple Cider

The weather is finally cooling down. Cozy nights, call for some warm apple cider! This recipe is easy to make in your crock pot and will quickly become a family favorite and maybe even a tradition.

| Easy Crock Pot Apple Cider |
| 1 (64 oz.) bottle of apple cider | 1 tsp. whole cloves |
| 3 cinnamon sticks | 1/3 cup brown sugar |
|
1 tsp. whole allspice |
| In a slow cooker, combine apple cider and cinnamon sticks. Wrap allspice and cloves in a small piece of cheesecloth, and add to pot. Stir in brown sugar. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat, and keep warm. Cook time is about an hour. |

Wonderland Montessori Academy and FlowerMoundFamily.com are working together, along with other local businesses, to create a fun-filled family event that will benefit the immediate needs of the Children’s Advocacy Center for Denton County. The mission of the Children’s Advocacy Center for Denton County (CACDC) is to provide justice and healing for abused children through interagency collaboration. Not only do they help abused children and their families heal after facing an ordeal that no child should ever have to face, but they provide justice as well. The CACDC helps hold offenders accountable for abuse of children through a team approach to the investigation and prosecution of these crimes.
Then, deliver your donation(s) on December 11th, at 4pm to: Wonderland Montessori Academy With your donation(s), you will receive a ticket to Santa “Cause” in Wonderland (Please keep in mind, tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis beginning at 4pm until we reach capacity.)

After your Thanksgiving Feast, you will surely have a few leftovers to deal with. This quick and easy casserole gives you a yummy way to use most of them up. Add those leftover green beans on the side, you are ready to go and your fridge is empty!

| Leftover Turkey Casserole |
| 3 Tblsp Butter | 1/4 teaspoon onion powder |
| 2 Tblsp flour | 2 tablespoons butter |
|
1 can evaporate milk (12 oz). |
1 cup finely crushed herb-seasoned dry bread stuffing mix |
| 1 cup water | 1 cup cooked, diced turkey meat |
| 1/4 tsp salt | 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese |
| 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper |
2 cups leftover mashed potatoes |
