Dance Reflections is a dance studio located in Flower Mound, about 1/2 mile north of Flower Mound Road. When you enter Dance Reflections, you are greeted in the lobby with an upbeat, contemporary decor loaded with motivational murals affirming why we all love dance. Dance Reflections welcomes male and female dancers with dance classes designed for ages 3 through adult.


Owner/Director, Shelly Pershing is a 1996 honors graduate of Oklahoma City University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dance Management. She has over 30 years experience as a dancer/teacher. Her credits include work with Andy Williams in Branson, MO, The Norman OK Ballet Company, Oklahoma Opera & Music Theatre Company, The American Spirit Dance Company of Oklahoma, and the late and great Shari Lewis and Lambchop. Shelly says, “We truly love teaching our students and our reward is watching them grow through the years. Our staff complements each other beautifully as each of us are well versed in all styles of dance, yet have our own area of expertise and favorite styles. We seek to employ adults with dance degrees or professional dance experience. The classroom philosophy is based on teaching students how to dance in a positive, enthusiastic, creative and FUN atmosphere!”

At Dance Reflections you will find 2 dance studios built with one-of-a-kind, custom built, fully mechanical, suspended sprung dance floors. Owner, Shelly Pershing says, “Our floors were hand built and engineered with comfort, durability and injury prevention in mind. Whatever dance studio you choose, make sure you ask about the floors. It is so important that they are built correctly to minimize injury of the dancers.” The following dance classes are offered at Dance Reflections: Intro to Dance – Ballet Only (ages 3 and 4) Beginning Ballet / Tap (ages 4 and 5) Elementary Combos Ballet / Tap (ages 5-7) Combination Ballet / Tap / Jazz (ages 7 and up) Pre-teen/Teen Classes Ballet / Tap / Jazz (ages 11-14) Other specialty classes include: Ballet / Jazz / Tap Technique Hip Hop Modern Dance Contemporary Adult Ballroom
Performance opportunities are also available through the Dance Reflections Performance Co. Auditions are held annually in the spring for the coming fall. Performances include community events, holiday parades/festivals, nursing homes, retirement centers and much more.
