Bento boxes are the perfectly balanced school lunch for kids. Not familiar with them? A bento lunch is simply a compact, balanced, visually appealing meal packed in a box. Packed in reusable containers, they reduce lunch waste such as plastic baggies and disposable containers, and allow you to pack a wider variety of food for lunch. Picky eaters may be tempted by an attractive presentation of a variety of foods. If you are interested in trying bento boxes for the school year, take a look at this website for some great bento boxes for kids (and adults): www.laptoplunches.com

| 1. Crisp celery slices make the perfect caterpillar feet. |
| 2. You can make the caterpillar segments with anything that can fit into a mini round size: meatballs, mashed potatoes, mini quiches, mac and cheese, and cut up fruit or veggies with dip are a few options. |
| 3. Tuck in ham flowers (see below for a step-by-step photo guide on how to make them) and serve with colorful berries, or any fruit |

| 4. Make sure to keep a fairly tight roll to keep the “stem” of the flower together. | 5. Fan out the petals of the ham flower and tuck into a bento box lunch. | |
