Quick Pasta with Shrimp and Basil

It’s summertime and we just got home from the beach.  There is nothing like eating fresh seafood oceanside, but this recipe is an easy dish to make at home and “pretend” you are oceanside.   We love this pasta with it’s light sauce and cork screw pasta.  Enjoy!
Quick Pasta with Shrimp and Basil
1 pound fresh or frozen peeled, deveined medium
2  teaspoons snipped fresh basil or tarragon or 1
shrimp (1-1/2 lb. medium shrimp in shell) teaspoon dried basil or tarragon, crushed
6  ounces dried spinach linguine, fettuccine,
2  tablespoons butter or margarine
and/or fusilli pasta

Directions

Thaw shrimp, if frozen. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and return pasta to pan. Meanwhile, cook shrimp and basil in butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 2 to 3 minutes or until shrimp are opaque, stirring frequently. Toss the shrimp with the hot pasta. Makes 4 servings
