| Welcome to Texas in the summer when 95-100 degree days are the norm! The official first day of summer is coming soon, so we thought we’d put together a list with some of our favorite “watering holes” (or pools) in or near Flower Mound. Favorites because of the fun factor and price factor or both! We hope this helps you stay a little bit cooler and have some fun while you are at it! Let the summer begin! |

The Community Activity Center (CAC) Monday – Friday 11am – 8pm The Outdoor Waterpark is open the Saturday before Memorial Day through Labor Day and features a zero-depth activity pool with 3 tot slides, interactive water features, a water play structure, shade structures, three 25-yard lanes, lazy river, vortex, 60 gallon dumping bucket, two large waterslides, and concession stand. The indoor pool stays at a comfortable 83-degrees. It also features a splash pad, 150-foot slide, and one meter diving board. |

The Fountains at The Pines We love to play here on afternoons that you just have to get out of the house and burn off some energy. There is nice shade in the late afternoons and the whole area is secure from the traffic on 3040. You’ll find park benches and fun fountains that the kids can run and play in. In case you’d like a frozen treat, Rita’s Italian Ice is right next door! Don’t forget your beach towel. |

Rosemeade Rainforest Aquatic Complex July 4th 10 am to 6 pm Located adjacent to Rosemeade Recreation Center, consists of a 50-meter Olympic-size pool, 25-meter short course, a 22-foot structure with a two-flume slide, separate diving well and training pool. New in 2011 is the shade-covered party deck with grill that can be rented during operating hours. The Rosemeade Rainforest section features a zero-depth entry pool, two platform levels with bridge, water cannons, bubblers, spray bars, water slides, a 200-foot lazy river and a 600-gallon dump bucket. The complex also includes a bathhouse and concession area, deck, picnic tables, lounges and shaded areas. |

Coppell Aquatic Center Monday – Friday: 1pm – 8pm The Coppell Aquatic and Recreation Center has five pools for public use, three are outdoor pools that consist of a competition pool, slide and play pool and a children’s pool. The indoor pool, which consists of two pools includes a lap pool and a child’s play pool. |
