Pink Soles in Motion is a group of dedicated men and women raising money to eradicate breast cancer. They strive to accomplish this by raising funds and showing their support by walking 60 miles in 3 days as part of the Susan G. Komen 3-Day. They are a diverse group of all ages who have become so close, they are like family. They train together, raise funds together and have fun together! Each member is required to raise a minimum of $2300.00 in order to be allowed to participate in the 3-Day. Their team goal for 2012 is $200,000. They come from all walks of life and all have some link to cancer. They have a group of survivors among the team as well as those who are walking in honor of someone that wasn’t so lucky. Their goal is to see breast cancer eradicated in our lifetime! |
| We all deserve time off and a fun night out with the girls, right? Well, now there’s a new hot spot in town, but beware, it comes with a warning: Bring your friends, your bottle of wine, a little bit of food and you risk the chance that you will want to return again and again! At the new Painting with a Twist in Flower Mound they believe that everyone can paint. Everyone has an inner artist; it simply takes the right setting, the right paintings and talented, caring instructors to bring out the hidden Rembrandt in you! |  |

The goal at Painting with a Twist is to have lots and lots of fun, and in the process, create a legitimate painting that you will be proud to hang on your wall and call ‘Art’. So here’s the drill. Check the calendar on their website to see the featured paintings of the day. Choose your favorite, grab a friend, some wine and come to the studio on the specified day (reservations are advised). Owner, Denise Montgomery says, “Our instructor will guide you through each step of recreating the featured painting and you’ll have created a piece of art before you know it. Have a sip and paint a stroke and you will find your inner Rembrandt!” |
| Although Painting with a Twist primarily caters to adults, they love kids too! They have hundreds of paintings for kids that are scheduled a few times a month. They offer after school kids classes, kids summer camps and kids birthday parties. The minimum age for children is 8. Once or twice a month they also offer a Family Day. Mom, Dad and the kids can all come paint! (Minimum age for kids for family day is 6).
If you want the studio to yourself, book a private party and pick one of over 1,400 paintings that are available. It’s a great venue/activity for birthday parties, bachelorette parties, girls night out, office parties, teambuilding activities, church functions…even date nights and special events. |
