Happy Halloween! We are in the month of Halloween 2014, so it’s time to see what’s going on in Flower Mound and Highland Village.  Here’s the list we’ve come up with to help you decide how to spend your SPOOOOKY month!  Let us know if there is anything we missed. Be safe and Have Fun!
Entire Month of October - Flower Mound Pumpkin PatchThis is a family tradition for many families in the area, including our own.  All activities are free and you will find multiple photo ops, so don’t forget to bring your camera!  Bring some canned goods for CCA!   FREE activities, $5 parking
Every Weekend in October- Spookley the Square Pumpkin – 11am on Saturdays and Sundays at Studio Movie Grill.  Super Cute 45 minute show!  $2 per person
Saturday, October 18th, 6pm-10pmBest Night Out Monster Mash Party - It’s a not so scary Halloween Party at Best Gymnastics! Kids can come dressed in their coolest,  scariest, funniest, or cutest costume to enter to win a prize in our costume contest! The Halloween Party will also have a kid friendly haunted house, face painting, contests, prizes, games and lots of fun Open Gym time!   Includes pizza and snacks.  $25 per child with a $5 sibling discount
Friday, October 24th, 3-6pm  4th Annual Fang Fest. This event is open to the community so kids, please bring your friends! We will have a game truck, bounce houses, pony rides, stellar face-painting, popcorn, hot dogs, and MORE! FREE with a donated item to Children’s Advocacy Center of Denton County! Friday/Saturday, October 24th and 25th, 5:30-9:30pmThe Grapeyard – At the Vineyards Campground and Cabins Back by popular demand! Experience the thrills and chills of the 4th Annual GrapeYard event! Enjoy an evening of fright and fun at our new location in Meadowmere Park on the eerie Grapevine Lake shore line. This park will be transformed into a captivating family-friendly environment full of crafts, live shows, a haunted hay ride, laser tag, the GrapeYard Ghost Train, live creepy critters and much more! Admission is limited and tickets must be purchased in advance due to high demand. Tickets available as of September 7 at the Community Activities Center, 1250 William D. Tate Avenue, Suite 100, at playgrapevinereg.com or by calling 817.410.3450. $10 per person for non-Grapevine residents (FREE for Grapevine residents). Saturday, October 25th, 5-8 or 9:30pmKids Halloween Party at Yogi Kids - Come for Pizza, tricks and treats. $25 per child.  Stay for a movie until 9:30pm for an additional $10.
Saturday, October 25th, 1pm – 3pm - Pumpkin Dive at the CAC – Wear your swimsuit, bring a towel, and dive for pumpkins in the Indoor Pool at the Flower Mound Community Activity Center (CAC). After you find the perfect pumpkin, decorate it in our party room. All supplies will be provided. Participants are invited to stay and enjoy other fun games and activities. An adult must be in the water with all 3 to 5 year olds and non-swimmers.Registration is required, and the fee is $5 per child for CAC members and $6 per child for Non-CAC Members.   Register online here.
Saturday, October 25th, 3-6pmHowl-o-ween- The Shops at Highland Village. From scary Scotties and precious poodles, to batty boys and gorgeous girls, The Shops at Highland Village located at the corner of FM 2499 and FM 407 will host a costume contest for dogs and children at its Annual Halloween celebration!  Live entertainment, contest, monster bash and trick or treating for children in costumes.   FREE
Sunday, October 26th, 6-7pm – Trunk or Treat - Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church - Kids will have fun trunk or treating in the church parking lot, going from car to car to collect treats. Adults can hand out the candy, and decorating your trunk is encouraged!  It continues with games, food and more!  FREE with canned food donation.
Saturday, October 27th, 5-9pmSpooktacular Trail Extravaganza - Come toToyota of Lewisville Railroad Park (1301 S. Railroad St. in Lewisville) for an evening of family friendly FUN!  Bring your Trick or Treat Bags and join in walking the Spooktacular Trail where area businesses will distribute candy. You can also enjoy a hay ride, happy haunted house, face painting, carnival games and much more. Wear your favorite costume for our annual costume contest.  Avoid long entry lines by purchasing your tickets early at the Memorial Park or Fred Herring Recreation Centers.  $2 per person, under 3 are free.
Saturday, November 1st, 11am – 4pm- Fall Festival at Kids Kastle, Unity Park, Highland Village -Bring the whole family to Kids Kastle at Unity Park.  The Fall Festival provides an opportunity for the community to celebrate fall with festivities for all ages. Attendees will spend the day at Highland Village’s Unity Park, where they will enjoy music, food, arts and craft vendors, and various activities for children.This year’s Fall Festival will be held in place of the last year’s Festival which occurred on Halloween Evening. Saturday, November 8th,10-2 amFido Fest – Bring your four-legged friend and enjoy a dog walk and other fun things like the Bow Wow Bistro, Costume Contest, Photo Booth, Agility Course, and Dog Games.  Get your dog microchipped if he or she isn’t already, shop our vendor booths, learn what you can do to help homeless animals…and more!  The walk starts at 10am, then shop the vender booths afterwards.  $25 registration benefiting the Flower Mound Humane Society
