The Mealtime Monday recipe this week isn’t actually for a meal, but we thought with the kids home from school for Thanksgiving, this recipe might just come in handy.  This Pumpkin Pie Play-Doh is super easy to make and when finished smells so yummy!  Just make sure you tell your kids it’s only to play with and not to eat!  Happy Thanksgiving!  Enjoy!

                                  Pumpkin Pie Play-Doh
5 1/2 cups flour 1 container (1 1/2 oz.) Pumpkin
2 cups salt     pie spice
8 teaspoons Cream of Tarter 4 cups water
3/4 cup oil or slightly less 1 container yellow and red food
       coloring

Combine all the ingrediants in a medium saucepan, stirring at medium heat.  The mixture will begin to clump.  Keep stirring.
Remove from heat when the mixture changes from a batter-with-lumps consistency to something that looks like brown sugar and/or peanut butter.  Pour onto floured surface to cool.  When cool enough to touch, start kneading.  Ours was still sticky in places, but kneading with additional flour evened the texture.  Keep kneading for about 10 minutes.  Make sure it is entirely cooled before putting in Tupperware containers for storage.
